Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years… all celebrations that help us to reflect on the many blessings that the Lord has given us. This week, take time to thank God for 2016 and all of its joys and challenges.

Daily Prayer: Pray through Psalm 27.

Read 1 Kings 19:1-13a. Elijah was ready to give up, yet the Lord provided mightily for him. List ways that the Lord helped Elijah when he felt he was in the pits.

Read Matthew 6:25-34 & Isaiah 41:10. Going into 2017, what important message does scripture give us?

Wednesday, Dec 28
Read Psalm 1:1-3. Many people make New Year’s resolutions. Using this passage, how can your resolutions reflect & glorify God?

Thursday, Dec 29
Read Ecclesiastes 7:10-14. Sometimes reflecting on our year is tough. What does the author of Ecclesiastes call us to consider? Make a list of what God has done for you this year. What does verse 14 mean?

Friday, Dec 30
Read Philippians 4:4-9. What blessings can you rejoice in this year? What lessons has the Lord been teaching you? How have they challenged you? How can you enter 2017 “Rejoicing always”?

Saturday, Dec 31
Read 2 Corinthians 9:8 & 2 Samuel 22:3-4. Happy New Year! What are you most looking forward to this year? What resolution can you make to praise God daily for all that He does?
