GodSpeak – Ephesians 3 – April 28-May 3

Reading Paul, Hearing Jesus (GEPC)
Ephesians 3

Paul spends some time in self-reflection. God has worked powerfully through him. Paul prays that God will also move in unimaginable through the Ephesian church.

Monday, April 28
Read Ephesians 3:1-13. How does Paul see his role in the working of God’s plan? Our culture may say Paul had a self-esteem problem (v.8). What’s the reality for Paul?

Tuesday, April 29
Read Ephesians 3:14-21. Paul describes more of his prayer for the Ephesian church. What is he praying for? Why is it so important to pray to God for the inner life of others?

Wednesday, April 30
After reviewing Ephesians 3, read Mark 7:24-30. Jesus seems awfully harsh at first with this woman. Why? Why the sudden change of heart? What message does this little episode send to the “children?”

Thursday, May 1
After reviewing Ephesians 3, read John 1:1-18. John starts his Gospel at the beginning of everything. What is the mystery of God’s plan? How is it revealed? Who receives it?

Friday, May 2
After reviewing Ephesians 3, read 1 Corinthians 13. What makes love so supreme? What’s happening when we do every good thing, but lack love? Describe a time when you did something good, but did not do it in love.

Saturday, May 3
After reviewing Ephesians 3, read Romans 8. The depth and width and height of Jesus’ love is incomprehensible. Nothing separates us from it. Then why do we struggle with seeing and experiencing Jesus’ love? What do we see and experience instead of Jesus’ love?
