GodSpeak – Acts 26 – September 10-15

Acts 26

In our readings this week, Paul is called to Agrippa to give his defense.

Monday, September 10     Read Acts 26:1-23. When Jesus speaks to Paul, he says that Paul will carry the light to the Gentiles so that they too may have “a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me”. What does it mean to be “sanctified by faith in Christ”?

Tuesday, September 11     Read Acts 26:24-32. Festus interrupted Paul to tell him that he’s insane. Have you ever been called crazy for the hope that you have in Christ?

Wednesday, September 12    After reviewing Acts 26, Read Mark 3:20-35. It seems Jesus was accused of insanity as well. How did Jesus respond to this claim?

Thursday, September 13     After reviewing Acts 26, Read Genesis 25:1-11. Where in this passage did the Jews find hope for the resurrection of the dead? Can you find it?

Friday, September 14     After reviewing Acts 26, Read 2 Timothy 2:1-13. Why was Paul willing to endure so much pain and suffering?

Saturday, September 15     After reviewing Acts 26, Read 1 Peter 3:8-22. How does this passage instruct us to respond when caused to suffer at the hands of others?
