When we read Old Testament accounts, we see how they looked forward to Jesus. Today, we are imitators of Him and look back at all He’s done. The New Testament is filled with direction and encouragement for us, but here are just a few to reflect on.

Daily Prayer: Pray through Psalm 103.

Read Hebrews 11. How did these peoples’ faith lives look forward to Jesus?

Tuesday, September 6
Read Exodus 34:29-35 & 2 Corinthians 3:12-18. What happened to Moses when he saw God? Why? What happens when we reflect God? How is that possible?

Wednesday, September 7
Read Colossians 3:1-17 & Matthew 5:13-16. How do we live as reflections of Christ?

Thursday, September 8
Read Ephesians 5:1-20. How can we be imitators of Christ? Often, we will fail, but there is forgiveness and love. How is Jesus True and Better?

Friday, September 9
Read John 14. One of the greatest encouragements that we have when reflecting Christ is that He never has and never will abandon us. Look at vs. 17-21. What does He promise?

Saturday, September 10
Read 1 Corinthians 5. It can be an intimidating job imitating Christ! What guides us through it?
