Jordan Ray Resignation

People of Bethel Lutheran,

The time has come for my wife Marcie and I to leave our family here at Bethel and make our way back out west. Our last day will be on May 31st at our fifth Sunday celebration. We’ll be heading up to Alexandria to spend a few months with family before beginning our trek back out west to be near our families.

It was in 2009 that I started fieldwork here at Bethel and have been blessed by the many friendships and kind-hearted people I’ve met during my time here. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve you as Director of Christian Outreach over these last 4 years. I’ve seen people be challenged and stretched as they disciple one another in Christ and seek the kingdom of God first in their lives. You’ve taught me so much about what it means to follow Jesus.

One of the things that has made Bethel so special in my life is the way we bring all generations together to worship and make disciples together. We love one another as we walk together following Jesus. I will forever remember the Living Nativity, the Cat Lake Trip, and the time I’ve spent with the youth of the congregation.

Lastly, thank you for being a family to Marcie and I as we’ve lived here in Minnesota. May God continue to bless this congregation as you find new ways to share His love and truth with those in your church, neighborhood and world!

God’s Peace,  Jordan Ray  Director of Christian Outreach
