A Living Nativity event, which is free to the public, features a retelling of Jesus’ birth (the Christmas story) with scripture reading, actors portraying the biblical account, and live farm animals (cow, sheep, goats) in an outdoor stable setting on Saturday, December 21st beginning at 6 pm.
Live shows will last 15-minutes beginning at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Following the enactment, children are welcome to approach the animals as part of a petting zoo, and all guests are welcome to enjoy hot coffee, cocoa and cider, as well as cookies and treats. The event is free and open to the public (no tickets required).
“We invite our neighbors from Como Park, St. Paul’s Northend and across the Twin Cities to join us in this family-friendly event,” said the Rev. David Seabaugh, pastor of Bethel Lutheran. “Experiencing this reenactment of Christ’s birth helps remind us of God’s incarnational love for all people this Christmas season.”
Bethel Lutheran Church is located at 670 W. Wheelock Parkway (corner of Maywood and Wheelock), Saint Paul, Minn. Church parking lot on St. Albans Street (on west side of church).
