Sermon: “A Trust Issue”

Reformation Day, October 31, 2010
He was tortured by his understanding of a “righteous God.”  No matter how hard he worked to live up to God’s expectations, he failed miserably.  But when reading Romans 1:17 one night, everything changed.  He discovered a God who loved him so much, he made a way for his righteousness to become our righteousness through Jesus.  The man?  Martin Luther and he had a trust issue.
Readings: Jeremiah 17:5-10, Ephesians 2:1-10, John 8:31-36
