Sermon: “Something to be Grasped”

Sunday, June 19, 2011
Analogies are helpful things.  Using an example helps us to grasp a concept or visualize a truth.  Paul uses an analogy in Philippians 2 as he tried to show the church how to be unified and humble.  The analogy was Jesus, who didn’t consider equality with God something to be grasped… he already had it!  Instead, he humbled himself to die for our sins.  So, what do we grasp in all this?
Readings: Psalm 139:1-14, Philippians 2:1-11, John 1:1-18
