The Journey: Bethel’s Youth and Kids’ Ministry Ages 3-18
Life is a Journey. Bethel wants to be part of that.
Are you a kid? a parent? Either way, we’re glad you’re here! We love the kids of Bethel and love to be the light of Christ through studying His Word, serving our community, and having fun! Use this page to see upcoming events for our Sunday School and Youth groups.
Sunday School and Youth Coordinator: Anna Zimmerman (email@example.com)
Our children’s ministry begins with baptism. We believe God provided baptism to be a means by which His grace could come to us in abundance. Through the water and God’s word, forgiveness and acceptance is given to the child by the grace of God and the parents make a committment to raise their child to know the love of Jesus. We help that process along with our excellent Sunday School. From birth all the way up, we have a class for you and your children where they will be lovingly and skillfully taught the stories of the Bible and their eternal significance.
During their 7th and 8th grade years, we offer weekly confirmation instruction enthusiastically taught by Pastor Seabaugh. This class is designed to foster ownership to the faith given to these children in their baptism. At the end of their 8th grade year, each student is given the opportunity on Confirmation Day to claim their faith for themselves. This represents a major rite of passage into the adult life of the church and ushers in new responsibilities and opportunities for service in the church and in the world.
Senior High Youth
We consider the four years of High School to be a perfect time to give our youth the experience they need to be the Christian leaders of the future. That’s why we call it The Future Church Now! We constantly look for ways to involve our youth in the REAL life of the whole church, rather than just having a “Youth Group.” The youth still meet, but they meet with the expectation that they will be actively mentored and encouraged by the rest of the church to be The Future Church Now.
This is a working calendar, so check for updates!
