As baptized disciples of Jesus, we are the official ambassadors of the Kingdom of God in this world.  That’s hard work.  In the course of a week we can get bloodied and bruised by this sinful world and even our sinful selves.  God’s third commandment told us to “remember the day of rest and set it apart.”  We gather on Sunday to rest in Jesus.  We gather to laugh and cry and learn together.  We gather to encourage each other and tell our stories.  We gather to worship God.

What can I expect when I come to worship?

Expect Worship

This is, after all, why we’re here! We gather to learn from God’s Word and be refreshed by His gift of forgiveness. In return we show Him what He’s worth to us through prayer and praise.
Simple. Beautiful. Worship.[/one_half][one_half_last]

Expect the Bible

Life is too short to guess about things eternal. God gave us His Word in the Bible and that’s what you’ll hear at Bethel. No more, no less.[/one_half_last] [one_half]

Expect Reality

God is real. Our problems are real. God’s forgiveness through Jesus is real. Jesus’ presence with us in Word and Sacrament is real. At Bethel you get real questions and real answers straight from God’s Word.[/one_half][one_half_last]

Expect Acceptance

The members of Bethel come from all walks of life and all over the globe. We understand the ups and downs of life as well as anyone. We’re doing our best to live our lives as forgiven sinners. We’d like to help you do the same.[/one_half_last]
