Do Not Give in to Anger

Everyone knows what it is like to be wronged. We know how it feels when we find out someone has spread rumors about us or tells a lie to our friends about us.

Understand that anger is real. We all experience it. Sometimes doing what is right is harder than doing what is not right. Take Jesus, for example. He was betrayed by his friends and was arrested for something He did not do. Peter was ready to fight, but Jesus stopped him. Jesus essentially said, “I could wipe these guys out with a whole truck load of angels but I am not going to fight these people. I am going to trust in the power of God instead of the power of violence.” It is better to trust in the Lord, than to use violence.

Remember Romans 12:19 which says, “Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath for it is written:  ‘It is mine to revenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”
