1 John 5:13-21

John finishes his letter with a word of encouragement to be bold in the faith, to look out for each other and to live the faith given to us through Jesus.

Daily Prayer: Thank you for giving us the knowledge of eternal life.  Lead us to live with boldness, willing to sacrifice all to love others the way you love us.  Amen.

Read 1 John 5:13-21.  Focus on verse 18Who is John referring to the second time he mentions the one “born of God?”  If that’s Jesus, what’s the significance that we are both “born of God?”  How are we like Jesus?  For more, see John 1:9-13.

Friday, June 12
Read 1 John 5:13-21.  Focus on verse 19.  Do you ever feel intimidated that “the whole world lies in the power of the evil one?”  America is no longer a Christian country.  Describe the importance of knowing we are from God in modern day America.  For more, see 1 Timothy 3.

Saturday, June 13
