This week we’ll hear from Pastor Fofana about what it means to be brothers and sisters in Christ. We’ll hear about the impact that Brian Scoles, a brother in Christ, has had on his life. As we run through this series on Saints, it is helpful to remember the impact we have in the lives of those God has placed around us!
Monday, January 12
Read Mark 3:31-35. Jesus says that we are brothers and sisters in Him. What makes us a part of His family? How can we live this truth today?
Tuesday, January 13
Read 1 John 4:16-21. Here we have a powerful picture of what real love is! In this passage we learn that love is something we must first learn from God through Christ. It is by Christ’s example that we can go and love our brother and sister. Pray for the strength to love others as Christ has loved you.
Wednesday, January 14
Read 1 Samuel 20:1-17. A friend and brother is a blessing from God. Spend a few minutes reflecting on the people God has brought into your life that have been there for you when you’ve needed it.
Thursday, January 15
Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. This verse is one often used in weddings. Why do you think that is? Pray for those who are married that they might be committed to one another and ready to help each other up.
Friday, January 16
Read Hebrews 10:19-39. The author of Hebrews encourages the church to not give up the habit of meeting together. What correlation is there between meeting together and being a family in Christ?
Saturday, January 17
Read Romans 12. Here Paul gives instructions for living the Christian life as brothers and sisters. Meditate on these words: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
