The word “gospel” is used in many ways in many contexts. In the beginning of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, he is upset that they have adopted “another gospel, which is really no gospel at all.” What is the essence of the gospel? How do we know when we’re looking at the real gospel, and not a “gospel sham?”
