Readings: Jeremiah 23:16-32, 2 Timothy 4:1-5, Matthew 4:1-11
Every time you crack open the Bible to read, there is a force trying to get you to interpret what you read incorrectly. The Devil does not want us to read the Bible and find that Jesus died for our sins, that faith is a gift from God, or that heaven awaits all who believe in Jesus. That means we need to be ready for the deceptions that the Devil throws at us. This sermon is intended to show us the most common deceptions that the Devil throws our way and give us ways to avoid them.
