Sometimes the truth hurts. Unenjoyable realities often emerge in our lives and we have figure out some way to deal with them. Either we accept the painful reality or deny it and pretend it’s not there. The painful truth of sin and its eternal consequences is enough to scare most, and it leaves us desiring something to soothe our pain. This is exactly where Jesus comes in.
